Learn How to Play Poker From Phil Ivey

If you ever wanted to get lessons from the best player in the world, Phil Ivey, you may now have your chance. Full Tilt Poker has opened the doors to the Full Tilt Poker Academy. The Full Tilt Poker Academy features videos, quizzes, podcasts, challenges and prizes going to the Academy's most gifted students.

While many sites offer poker advice and you can even pay for professional coaching, no site offers a lineup of poker talent as good as Full Tilt Poker Academy. Some of the other names associated with the academy include Chris Ferguson, Howard Lederer, Jennifer Harman, Erick Lindgren, Erik Seidel, Andy Bloch, Phil Gordon, John Juanda, Mike Matusow, Gus Hansen, Allen Cunningham and Patrik Antonius.

If you're serious about playing poker and interested in becoming a better player there is no better place to get an education.

Ivey No Longer Backing?

Word on the street is that Phil Ivey will no longer be backing players. Ivey, who is rumored to be one of the biggest backers on the tournament circuit, will no longer be buying his friends into events. He's believed to be the money behind many players including Michael Mizrachi, David Williams and Paul Darden.

No real reason was given for his change of heart. He's been doing well in most games he's being watched in so it's not a lack of funds. Perhaps Phil hasn't seen a good return on his investment or keeping track of his horses has been taking up too much of his time.

Spoiler Alert: Russo Takes Out Phil Ivey in NBC Heads-Up Champtionship

I guess the headline says it all. Vanessa Russo got it all in with pocket 10's against Ivey's 8's and the better hand held up.
